ChesMMAP Trawl Data

This series of graphs shows the 'minimum number of trawlable fish' estimated to be in the Chesapeake Bay for several species.  Estimates are shown for each of our five sampling regions separately, and cumulatively, to give a picture of seasonal, regional, and inter-annual variations in fish populations.

While viewing these graphs, keep in mind that 2002 was an extremely dry year, 2003 was a wet year, and that hurricane Isabel occurred about a week prior to our September 2003 cruise.

Note also that due to equipment breakdowns and loss, our May 2003 cruise was incomplete and valid population estimates cannot be made.
