ChesMMAP Trawl Data
Over time, any number of uses can and will be made
of our data. Though the survey is designed to support multispecies
and ecosystem modeling many other traditional and non-traditional analyses
are planned.
Several of the early analyses we have performed are
available here...
- Number of fish caught, number measured only, and
number 'worked up' (length-weight-sex-age-diet) by cruise. click
here
- Species distribution comparison maps for 2002
(Note: The "N=" numbers presented on these figures should
NOT be taken as absolute population estimates. The do represent
a 'minimum trawlable number' uncorrected for gear efficiency and gear
selectivity.)
- Length frequency charts comparing ChesMMAP data to VIMS Juvenile
Fish Trawl Survey for the same time period.
- Food habits charts for 2002 only. Since
these are based on one year's data only they should not be used except
as being illustrative of the kinds of data this survey will produce in
future years.
- Fish age distributions are important assessment
tools. The age structure of the Chesapeake weakfish stock for
2002 are presented here, overall for the year, and for various
sub-regions and time events.
